This stool is perfect! Wide enough to remain stable and just the right height to do what I need to do. When we bought our new box spring and pillow top mattress, I found that I could no longer easily climb onto the bed without a running hop or an arm to pull myself up. While it might have been fun the first night (especially for my husband), having to get up in the middle of the night to babysit or use the bathroom wasn't fun or safe. At 5ft 3in I needed a stool. This is the perfect step level, solid, assembled, looks beautiful.
