I've been looking for a long time and hesitated for a long time whether it's worth spending so much money on a pair of slippers. But they are EXACTLY what I was looking for and they fit my feet so well. They fit snug but give just enough room in the toe box to keep my wide feet very comfortable. I wanted the rubber soles to give a little more traction since our house has hardwood floors. These soles make the slipper more textured like a shoe, but not so thick that it feels stiff like a clog. When I go in, they bend and give way. I was wearing thick winter socks that fit very tightly. When I go without socks, they feel almost loose in comparison, but not so loose that they slip off. Wool feels cozy and comfortable. Not prickly. And I didn't realize my feet were sweating in them. When it's really cold in the house, I absolutely have to wear socks because nothing covers my heels and ankles, but I wanted lightness in flip-flops that I can wear all year round. Since I only wear them indoors, I can put my feet up on the couch while wearing them, but I usually take them off to get comfortable under the covers. I'm one of those people who don't like walking barefoot and prefer to have some support or cushioning on my feet. I used to buy "cheap" foam-soled slippers that I replaced every few years because the fluffy fleece would become tangled and the foam sole no longer felt comfortable. Even though I've only had my Herlups for a season, I can tell you that they won't be "disposable" slippers that I have to change regularly. Now I see them as possible gifts for family members. i love her so much much, I want to share the joy.
