We used this for a slightly different application. ceiling instead of wall. We tried to cover a very old, bad ceiling without tearing it down. House in 1920. And absolutely nothing straight or square. And that was the ceiling. Other than that, which isn't a paper error, it was very frustrating to set up and took a very long time for two people to cover the ceiling of a roughly 8x8 room. Since the room is neither square nor flat, the paper does not lie at the edges. Halfway down one end of the wall, it's flush with the edge on one end and about 1/2 inch from the cover on the other. Also, it was very difficult to get it straight once you started your piece/row and we kept taking it off and replacing what it stretched. This means it will never be completely smooth and will have some creases. We want to scream. I have to say that it's holding up well even after multiple tugs. Your surface should be SMOOTH (not textured) and CLEAN (we washed the walls with warm water and vinegar (but you can use TSP too). Overall, this is a huge improvement over what was there. - Sleeping in the kitchen. We are DIYers and found it difficult to work with.but then again.This is probably intended for walls.As it is a rough pattern most of the creases will blend in unless you really study it.We love the finished one Look For us, this was a more economical way to solve a more serious problem than we could afford to fix.
