Poor quality USB socket. and mouse. I bought two cables for two computers and the bottom part of the inside of the jack end was deformed in both cases: so much so that in one case I could barely plug in a merging receiver. The only thing that keeps these cables working is that I don't have to touch the cable after I connect each receiver (no re-plugging and unplugging).
