Review on ๐Ÿ”ง High-Quality Replacement Blower Assembly for TYC 700095 Jeep by Daron Ellis

A resourceful person can make it work

I have a 2000 Jeep Wrangler Sport. The installation wasn't what you would call "plug and play", but it wasn't extremely difficult either. I had to modify this fan to fit and used an RTV around the harness connector to make it as waterproof as the OEM unit. If you want everything to be perfect, I do not recommend this product. On the other hand, if this device is cheaper than your other options and you don't mind a small modification that can be done with numerous household tools, I highly recommend this product. I give this product 3 stars and it's close to 4. Some are good. 1) The fan was delivered to me quickly. 2) The fan works without any background noise. 3) The fan looks high quality. Some are bad. 1) The fan is too "long" as it was rubbing against the back of my case and making a lot of annoying noises after installation. 2) The "port" you connect the wire harness to is too small. The connector must be inserted too deep into the motor housing for the waterproof construction to be most effective. First, the port is easy to fix. Once you've installed the fan and made sure everything works, go back to silicone, rubber, or RTV around the fork and that should provide adequate waterproofing. The main problem equipment. I installed the fan not knowing what the problem was with the installation. So I knew it couldn't be too big. I pulled the fan back out and saw part of the fan blades hit the jeep's duct/body. So I took some wire cutters and cut off every corner on each blade, put everything back together and all was good. I saw another review that said some small shims helped increase fan performance. My thought is that if you pull the entire motor out by bolting it on, you're forcing the sealing faces apart, which can result in water leaks and/or loss of air pressure, which means degraded fan performance. So I avoided that suggestion but still took the advice to use an RTV instead of a plug. I hope my review has helped some of you. especially my Jeeper colleaguesOIIIIIIIO---------
