I mainly use this tablet for taking notes in college. That's why I often use S Note. That is the main reason I bought this tablet. So far it has met my needs quite well. Below is my honest opinion of this tablet. This tablet is an upgrade from my 1st generation iPad. Haha! Good: 1) The screen resolution is just amazing. This is the clearest and sharpest screen I've ever seen. I have no problem staring at it for hours and still admiring its beauty. 2) When it comes to working with ease, this tablet is a beast. This is a power plant. It handles all the applications you throw at it with ease. You can easily play any HD games on it. Browsing the web is a pleasure and the multi-window feature really helps, especially when I'm jotting down notes. 3) Using the S Pen is a pleasure and in my opinion the best thing about pen and paper. It writes smoothly and accurately, unlike the best buy displays I've tried. I tried writing on my friend's iPad and there was no comparison. This tablet is way ahead of the competition when it comes to handwriting recognition and note-taking capabilities. Cons: 1) One of the things that keeps me from giving this tablet 5 stars is the random crashes and crashes I've experienced. So far I've experienced crashes in both games and S Note when taking notes in class, which can be quite annoying. I can be pretty harsh in my comments but as this product is one of the most expensive tablets and a direct competitor to the iPad I think this tablet should be more than good. If not nearly perfect. 2) The home button in the middle of the tablet gets in the way when taking notes. When writing on the second half of the screen, you have to be careful not to hit the home button. It made working with the tablet really tiring. 3) For some reason, the screen scratches very easily. I tried to use my friend's pen on my tablet and my screen is scratched. I didn't want to buy a screen protector because I'm concerned it would affect the tablet's excellent handwriting recognition. 4) The stylus pen that comes with this tablet is quite small and thin. The hand gets tired of writing them after 1 hour lecture. Basically, I like the tablet. Since I bought it it has become part of my class schedule and I can't go to class without my tablet! I would definitely recommend this tablet to anyone looking for a good note-taking device that can also be a good multimedia device. You just have to live with occasional glitches for now and hope for an update that fixes these issues in the future.
