Review on Dell UltraSharp U2711: 27 Inch Widescreen Monitor with High Resolution, Anti-Glare Display by Justin Knox

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Fantastic experience from an amateur point of view

First, let me stress that I'm not using this in an environment where color matters. If you're buying this display for a professional setup, you should seek advice elsewhere. Now that we've got that out of the way, let's talk about the display. I bought it to get more accurate and subtle colors when editing photos and also to get a high resolution display. He does both very well. Returning to the photographs, the increase in detail and depth is immediately apparent. Since color reproduction is not important to me (not paid photography, really) I don't think this monitor will improve my workflow, but it will certainly make it more enjoyable. beautiful all around. If you like playing games, you will look great on this display. I haven't noticed any refresh rate issues yet, and I've noticed that the wider color space really adds to the mood that games are trying to create. The darker tones in Dead Space are much easier to see when the display can show a wider range between "almost black" and "black". Of course, movies look great too. I found a video that looked great on my 1080P (1920 x 1080) screen, it looks a little blurry here, but that's to be expected. Overall, I can say that this monitor looks a lot better than my previous one. This is likely due to a combination of the expanded color space and increased resolution. I am very happy with my purchase and am seriously considering buying another one in a few months.
