This juicer requires little (a lot) of prep work to put it through the machine properly - pieces of fruit/veg need to be sliced thinly to fit. As they say, this car is worth it! It produces the same high quality juice that you would get at a health food store or small juice stand. Pulp-free and not to mention high yield means less waste. That means a lot when you consider how expensive things like fresh ginger and turmeric can be. I've had Breville for years - yes it was a lot faster and you could put whole apples in at once but over time the juice became meaty, parts that were once flush started to warp and whatever you tried to squeeze, ran through the juice. Side . This juicer is actually quieter, much more efficient, more compact, easier to clean and I love that it doesn't have any sharp parts. Made a pineapple, cucumber and ginger mix tonight, and ooo doggie that was a good juice. I RECOMMEND TO EVERYONE!
