Review on BLACK DECKER Allure Digital Professional by John Wood

Save time, don't buy this iron! I've read other disappointing reviews and usually despite the negative reviews I can still order something and love it. Not this one - the others were right! It's garbage! Right out of the box I felt like this was a refurbished product (and it wasn't, but it was). The temperature control setting didn't work - it didn't stop at any heat setting. AND IF it worked, it was in a poorly designed spot where your thumb kept hitting it while ironing. I just stood there and watched as the temperature settings kept flashing over and over like Christmas lights. I can't tell how it was actually ironed because it wasn't sturdy enough to use. And honestly, it kept feeling unsafe, like it was a refurbished or unfinished product. When it tried to heat up it made weird popping noises like something was wrong with the thermostat inside the iron. I still think Black and Deck is a great name - my previous iron was a B&D and lasted forever. I can honestly say that it didn't seem to work out of the box and ABSOLUTELY didn't work. I just wrote it off as a loss and threw it in the trash. It happens, but save yourself from trouble - I categorically do not recommend this particular model.
