You can leave clear lenses at home.

I wanted a cool dark visor to replace the stupid clear lenses that came with the helmet so I bought one of these as only one nameless company makes an aftermarket visor. I'm glad I have the visor. It's dark enough during the day for you to be comfortable and not squint, but not the limousine is dark so people can still see your eyes a little. It's actually not that bad at night unless you're driving a cruiser with a single 1920's round headlight. Your bike emits enough light to see around town/suburbs. Driving in rural areas with this lens is NOT recommended. I will say take a good look at the visor when it arrives as SHOEI provided TERRIBLE packaging. It literally comes in a super thin clear plastic sleeve with no pressure/scratch protection. For the price of this thing, they could spend $2 on a real container for it.
