Some people criticized this particular product. I think if you jog, walk trails, or use it for anything other than shopping and paved trails, it might not be suitable. I'm not 100% sure I've taken my 10 lb Pekingese EVERYWHERE since I got this stroller. All day she was at outdoor events, the Hobby Lobby, Walmart and some other shopping adventures. I have no regrets about this stroller. She loves it! She's not a hyperdog, so if you have the top, she should stay closed. She is 1 year old but not the best on a leash. She doesn't weigh 20 pounds, so I can't assess her weight limits. It folds up very easily. It is very light and easy to use. The wheels have held up well throughout our adventures despite being plastic. Here, too, we are not always on the right track. The only thing that didn't really bother me was that the back zipper didn't stop. The back flap came loose and was a little frustrating to put back on. We don't use it and we don't need it. Also this dog is not hyperactive and does not jump around. It's GREAT that the front has no zipper so you can drop the front flap and just zip up. Actually, I really like it in this model. The lower storage is a bit smaller than I would like. I have used it several times for shopping but it does not fit many items. If you need a purse, poop bags, a leash and a collapsible water bowl, this is perfect. All in all it was great for us. The little girl can lie down if she wants. Again, she hasn't lost 11 pounds. If your pup weighs closer to 30 pounds, I think that can be a stretch. This stroller is probably more suitable for toy puppies and shopping/walking parents, if your 30lbs are not seniors then I'm sure this item will be fine for them. I was hesitant, but overall I really like it. Your puppy from behind BC here is how they are built. Lock the stroller and do not leave it if it bothers you. Most of them are super heavy.
