I didn't get my first dentures until I was 30 years old after I lost my beautiful teeth to an illness and it was horrible, but I was lucky enough to have great teeth that fitted perfectly with no problems. I had them for about 15 years and then the bottom one broke in half and thanks to our wonderful healthcare system I had to live without panties for THREE YEARS. I've lost a lot of bone as a result - the dentist said I urgently need implants, but of course Medicaid won't pay for them even though they're medically necessary and I can't eat with my new dentures. So I go insane trying to find something that will hold my buttocks long enough to eat. And unfortunately it isn't. They hold my top plate for 12-18 hours but I've never had a problem with them. I've followed directions to the tee, waited at least an hour before eating or drinking, and the minute I take a bite to chew, they're sinking to the bottom. They also stretch like crazy at first. I'm awaiting my order for the safety inserts and the Japanese version of the pillow handle and praying I'm lucky because apparently the poor in America don't deserve the teeth to eat solid food. 3 stars for that, but it holds up well at the top.
