Review on SmallRig M50/M50 II/M5 Cage (Upgraded): Aluminum Alloy Video Film Movie Making Rig with Integrated Grip and NATO Rail for Canon EOS M50/M50 II/M5 2168C by John Destruction

I gave this cage 4 stars ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ because I felt the need to criticize two areas. 🤓1) After installing the camera, there is an easy game in the cage. No matter how hard you manage to screw the mounting screw into the base of the camera body, there will still be play and it will get in your way. This will eventually loosen the mounting screw when using it handheld because you can't resist making the game more obvious. 🤨(My suggested solution is to glue a rubber pad on the inside of the cage where the handle is). 😎2) The Arca Swiss base is not 100% compatible with all Arca Swiss clamping systems. So if you already have a clamp that you plan to use to attach the cage base, there is no guarantee it will fit. . 😕 Apart from those two criticisms 🤬, if you have a Canon M50, you NEED this cage. But you don't know why. 🤔M50 is a SMALL mirrorless camera. Mainly made of plastic. It is NOT cheap for most people, especially newbies and those of us who tried to take photos when there was such a thing as FILM. 🙈 In this cold and harsh world, he needs extra protection and this cage is the best option you have at the moment. I've already had the misfortune of watching hopelessly (as if in slow motion) my camera pop out of the QR plate from about 4 feet (it was admittedly at an odd angle) and fall to the floor of my office. The 15-45mm kit lens suffered the most damage and still works despite the bent and cracked body. Just not very well. However, the Smallrig cage saved the camera body from damage. 👍🏽That's why I needed this cage for this camera and I didn't know why, but now I have it. Your mileage may vary. I prepare my M50 to capture video footage 🎥 for projects at work (close quarters) and also practice still photography so I have a boom mic cage, shoulder mount QD mount, sliders, a MUCH better tripod, an external monitor and tracking have focus, etc. make working with such a cage easier.
