I saved $700! for camera mounts and clips

When I first used my new Canon M50 I used a cheaper tripod indoors on a rocky hill with little wind. As I grabbed my bag to weigh down the tripod, the wind knocked it over and my brand new camera fell to the ground. Luckily I bought a small rig at the same time as the camera which has held up well. I now have a disassembled small rig cage and camera that still works. Just had to tighten the bottom screw and of course get a better tripod.

Exactly what I was looking for.

M50 tiny! This can be great, but if you have huge hands like me, holding this camera can cause cramps. has all the mounting points I need for a recorder, light and pistol mic to make it a powerful video studio. I recently bought a pen and my next purchase will be a monitor. Built-in Arca-compatible ground play saves lives if you ever forget the platform, and gives you the option to attach other plates (such as monfroto plates) if you're using a different tripod. Personally, I like to mount…

It transformed my M50

I've heard a lot of people love SmallRig cages and when I needed a cage for my new Canon M50 I went with this one. To be honest I was a bit pissed at the price at first but now that I've used it it's worth every penny. This thing transformed my M50. The Canon M50 is a small body camera and the battery/memory card access door on the bottom is a bit cumbersome. OK, big problem! With the SmallRig Cage, the grip is now bigger and I feel much better in my hand. Built-in Swiss ARCA rail on the bottom

Warning: M50 camera SWINGS in this cage

MANUFACTURER NOTE: They should offer an OTHER M50 CAGE that fits this camera from below. Or offer a free customization kit, e.g. B. A foam pad that M50 owners can permanently attach to the bottom of the cage, a hard foam pad that will last a long time, and an adhesive that holds the pad to the cage. UPDATED REVIEW: As others here have complained this cage fits the M5 well but is NOT ideal for the M50. The M50 constantly wobbles and wobbles in this cage. About 20 times I had to remove the…

Best for M5 - Mount for M50 Wiggle

The cage itself is fantastic: Provides better grip for the M5/M50, some protection for the fragile camera body, lots of places to attach accessories etc. What lots notice, especially with the M50, that the screw loosens a bit after a few uses. I noticed that too, but I also noticed that there was no hesitation with my M5. Careful examination revealed that the M50 is slightly thinner than the M5, around 1mm at the base and maybe 2mm at the grip. This cage was clearly designed for the M5 as it…

Pros
  • Sleek design

  • Definitely a bad product

ONE big mistake, ONE small mistake, FEW suggestions for improvement

Arca-Swiss slide alongside its Smallrig label. Problem? I can't INSERT my cage cam into my ball head! Ridiculous! This means that this cage is NOT PERMITTED to mount the Arca-Swiss. I can't "insert" the camera from above either. Little problem. The cage wobbles slightly on my Canon EOS M50. I think the problem is rather minor. The rest of the setup is quite well done. Opening and tilting the screen does NOT interfere with the cage (but with a mic), but the mic interference is Canon's fault…

ONE big mistake, ONE minor mistake, FEW suggestions for improvement

I have a COMPLETE ARCA-SWISS ballhead, NOT a copy. stop" cast on the Arca-Swiss carriage next to the "Smallrig" label. Problem? I can't INSERT my cage camera into my ball head! Ridiculous! This means this cage is INVALID for mounting the Arca-Swiss. I can't "insert" the camera from the top either. Small problem. On my Canon EOS M50, the cage wobbles a bit. I think the problem is rather minor. The rest of the setup is quite well done. Opening and tilting the Screen does NOT interfere with the…

Definitely worth investing in

I gave this cage 4 stars ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ because I felt the need to criticize two areas. 🤓1) After installing the camera, there is an easy game in the cage. No matter how hard you manage to screw the mounting screw into the base of the camera body, there will still be play and it will get in your way. This will eventually loosen the mounting screw when using it handheld because you can't resist making the game more obvious. 🤨(My suggested solution is to glue a rubber pad on the inside of the cage…

Great cage! Just a few questions.

I've had this Small Rig M50 cage for a few years now so I definitely have feedback on it. Immediately after buying it, I noticed how high-quality it feels in the hand. . The M50 is tiny compared to many of its brethren, and the cage really gave it a much better balance in hand and grip in general. a cage that allows him to run into walls in many places. I'm very careful with my gear and thought it would be a deal breaker. My dad was known for his great love of velcro, so I have experience using
