The camera is rugged and small, as you would expect from a "spy camera"; although I wouldn't call it that. It's clearly a cam, but it works well as a babysitter cam that can be hidden somewhere, e.g. B. between a few books or in a dark corner. The body is made of anodized aluminum and is machined on the edges to avoid sharp corners. There are two buttons at the top, power and setting, at the bottom there is a micro USB and micro SD card slot, which supports 8GB to 32GB. I used a SanDisk Ultra Micro USB Class 10 HC 32GB micro SD card. The camera's card slot leaves a lot to be desired; It was cut to the exact size of the card, but every time I insert a card I feel like it's scratching the plastic on the card. Maybe if the card slot was a little more rounded, like the edges of the camera. The same goes for the micro USB slot. The camera is not entirely intuitive. You should read the manual first before using the camera as there are multiple modes and only two buttons. After reading the manual, you can make various settings. The IR on the camera is decent, with a range of around 10 feet or so, not exactly for a large room but should be very good for a bedroom. The motion sensor is fine as long as the moving object is within range of the sensor. (about 10-15 feet). It seems that changing the lighting (from dark to bright or from bright to dark) also triggers the camera motion sensor, which is common in motion cameras. This camera is labeled "1080p". It is not the same as quality. 1080p simply means it will be displayed at 1920 x 1080 pixels. It can be a "big" version of 720, 480 or even 360 (or less). It appears to be around 480p video quality upscaled to 1080p. It's fine as long as you're not trying to grasp the tiniest details of what's going on. The image quality is roughly the same as the video quality. The video is around 32kb / 12 seconds, which is around 145 days of 24/7 recording, which also tells me the video upscaling isn't bad for an app, but overall not great. All in all it's pretty decent for a small camera. I like the compact size of the camera and its "spy" look, with no backlight to indicate that the camera is either off or recording. For $35 this is a good buy. If you're looking for a babysitting cam or something else for a room in your house that you're not always in, this might be a good thing. The main downside is that it writes to the card, and when USB is plugged into it, nothing is done other than charging. won't turn on or record. That's why it's basically a babysitter cam. You install it, and when you're done, you remove it. Maybe chasing ghosts is a good thing? Hm.
