Review on 📱 Con-Tact Brand Clear Adhesive Privacy Film & Shelf Liner, 18'' x 20'', Semi-Transparent Matte Clear Covering Vinyl by Nick Atkinson

We had a leak in our kitchen sink/utility that destroyed the bottom of our cabinet. After cutting a piece of Luan maple to size, we nailed it down with finishing nails, but didn't want to leave the wood damp and exposed. I ordered this contact plastic to cover wood and it's perfect! Since the room is quite big, I divided it into two parts. Starting with the hem, I folded the back back just half an inch to lower and straighten the hem. I then slowly peeled off the backing while pressing down on the contact plastic - much like putting a screen protector on your phone. The first page came off very easily. I measured and cut the pipes before laying the cover. The second side (right side) was more difficult because our closet is not 100% square. After misplacing about half of the contact plastic, I had to tighten it and start over. It's sticky enough to stick to wood, but not so sticky that it doesn't lift easily - which is why I gave it (4) stars for adhesion, but it SHOULD do the trick. With a little patience, slow gluing and removing wrinkles and air bubbles, the cabinet bottom will look like new! The first picture shows the left side. The second photo shows how I removed the backing when I installed the right side. I overlapped them about an inch and a half down the middle (see third picture). And the last photo is the finished product looking straight at the closet. I definitely recommend this product for cabinet bottoms and shelves!
