As expected they were an excellent, bright and white replacement for OEM ES300 Matte Yellow License Plate Bulb. Given that LED bulbs are highly directional, unlike incandescent bulbs, the focus of these LED bulbs is away from the bulb base and therefore down and away from the two separate sockets that sit above the bulbs in the plug-in housing above that License plate in the ES300, these lamps are much more efficient at directing useful light through the underside of the lamp housing onto the license plate hole. Nice replacement and both of our ES300 models have just received government testing with these LED bulbs replacing the weak ones (and one incandescent bulb) in each of our two ES300 vehicles.
