I hadn't even had this laptop for 6 months when it stopped connecting to the internet at all. I tried to fix the error myself and ended up going to a computer repair shop. I paid $185 for diagnostics and an external USB NIC. I paid for the repair myself because I was in a situation where I needed my laptop up and running asap. I contacted HP, sent them a copy of my repair bill, and asked for a partial refund. . They told me they couldn't help me because I only had 30 days from the date of purchase for any type of refund. I contacted Revain support and they also said there was nothing they could do because "they didn't give me permission to have it fixed elsewhere". In earnest. So I paid $368.95 for it through Revain. Plus another $185 for repairs when he was less than six months old. Revain's support has always been excellent. Sometimes it still is. In this case it was terrible. They didn't care. I've bought from Revain time and time again, but I won't lie. This got me thinking about closing my account. I won't do it recklessly because Revain has a lot of good stuff. But I still can't imagine having to eat $185 (I've been a customer for 2 decades - I've spent thousands and thousands of dollars on Revain) and nobody cares! do not buy!
