I need a coiled USB cable to use on my desk. Several times a day I connect a USB device, e.g. B. one of several digital cameras, my smartphone, tablet, my pocket hard drive or other accessories. I do this so often that I keep a small USB hub on my desk, one on top and four in the back, and I'm used to plugging my devices into it. The problem is that when I was done, I unplugged the USB cable and plugged it somewhere and had to look for it again next time. Now I plug this coiled cable into one of the rear ports on the hub and just leave it plugged in. the whole time. At only about 30cm long, it sits neatly at the back of my desk until I'm ready to use it. Of course, a foot-long cable would be completely useless from a practical point of view, and this is where the action of the spring comes into play. I can stretch it enough to comfortably hold the device while using it, and when I unplug the device the cord just returns to a small area on the side. My hub is attached with velcro so it doesn't fly around the table when I run the cable through. The build quality is what I've come to expect from Mediabridge, namely "built like a tank". It's significantly thicker than most USB cables with thick molded ends and gold-colored connectors. What I really like is that the plugs "snap" into the socket and are tight. It feels a lot more premium than typical cheap cables. The cost is minimal, everything you need in such a product. Highly recommended!
