My 3 star rating for warmth is due to the fact that this is not a warm light but is a notch below harsh bluish 5000K daylight bulbs. I would not recommend 2700K (warm, candles) for hallway or stair lighting. For comparison, I have 4000K in my kitchen. It's not overly harsh, but it's also not too warm to be a nuisance in the workplace. A heat level of 2700 K (3000 K if you can find it) is good for a dining room chandelier.
