My new computer just didn't have enough room for all my drives. I'm glad I bought this HD Bay. The only problem I had was that it wouldn't turn on when I first plugged it in. I've flipped the switch several times but to no avail. I went and re-read the manual to see if I missed anything. I was about to contact the seller but I tried the power button again and it turned on immediately. I think it only needs a few minutes of power before it turns on. Hard drives are very easy to insert and can be done while the power is on. All my existing data was preserved. I'm going to place this bay behind my monitor so the power button is easily accessible and out of sight. I wouldn't say the fans are loud, but you can hear them when they're running. They're about as loud as the big fans on my old Xclio wind tunnel case, so it doesn't really bother me, and Windows hibernates the bay and drives after so long. Very happy with this purchase.
