Works great with my Sony a7R III. It is used in place of a wired remote shutter release and its range is effective for my use. The only downside is that I needed it to be convenient to take and not toss in my pocket between shots. My solution was to drill a small 2mm hole in the corner (be very careful not to drill the PCB into it). This allows me to hold it on my wrist or on a tripod for quick and easy use.
