I bought this cable to use with my Fostex rp20rp mk3 phones. The cable fits snugly into the cable jack on the phones, but after using them for a while I noticed some cut outs on the right side shell so I filed the right corner on the phones a bit to get a better connection (enough room) As long as I could say it tightened the bass a little, not really, and the sound is a little more open/spacious, the soundstage and maybe the phones just added a little more volume compared to the standard cable, but it could also be because the music is a bit more progressive/spectacular. The cable is thicker than most standard cables / much thicker than some portable phones, but I use them at home so that's welcome. It's a slightly stiffer cable, but that doesn't really bother me. We'll see how it holds up, but it doesn't look like it's causing me any problems. So far I'm happy with this cable and it's definitely worth the money.
