Review on 🦷 Expandable Floss with Activated Charcoal & Xylitol, Natural Wax, Fresh Mint Flavor - 50 Meters (2 Count) by Priscilla Tran

Nice refreshing mint flavor but a bit waxy for my taste.

Many of us dentists are mourning the loss of Gentle Gum Care Woven Floss (formerly Reach, then Listerine). It was my favorite job for many years (my opinion). No one knows what happened to him, he's just nowhere to be found. So what is the best alternative? I decided to try several candidates. Cocofloss (26 cents/yard) - good strong thread, slightly coarse texture, medium thickness, subtle coconut flavor. DR. Tung's Smart Floss (14.4 cents/yard) - The thickest of them all, very soft texture, light cardamom flavor. Xlent Expandable Charcoal Dental Floss (10 cents/meter) - medium thickness, waxy texture, pleasant mint flavor. Hayden Expanding Floss (10.5 cents/yard) - Just a little thicker than regular dental floss, medium texture, with a subtle mint flavor. First, a few words about stretch threads - they only stretch if you don't pull on them. But flossing involves pushing, pulling, and scraping up and down. You cannot effectively floss your teeth without applying pressure to the floss. So when you floss, they don't stretch. All four strands come loose easily when brushed to look more like a ribbon. The thicker the thread, the more it diverges. So what do I like best? i like dr Tangs. I love the density and the soft fluffy texture. And I love cardamom, although admittedly it's not as refreshing as mint. It's a bit more expensive than the cheaper threads in the group, but not on par with Cocofloss. I think it's worth the extra pennies. Coconut silk is fine if you want a rougher texture that feels like you're actually scratching your teeth and don't mind paying a hefty premium. The Xlent floss was a bit too waxy for my liking and the black color is a bit odd (although I don't see it when holding it in my mouth). But what I like best is its flavor and I think it does its job well. So if you want the cheapest but most effective filament, this is the best value for your money. Hayden yarn is better than regular yarn, but it comes fourth for me. Of course, you will most likely have a different order than mine. But hopefully that gives you an idea of what they are like. One final note: none of these threads feel like our favorite Gentle Gum Care thread. And they're all more expensive. But to their credit, none of them unraveled like our favorite woven thread. And they all do an excellent job of removing plaque. When I'm done with the mourning period, I'll go to Dr. probably like Tung as well. TEAR
