I have plantar fasciitis and because I have been wearing high heels for many years, my toes need more space so that I don't feel pain. I bought a pair of shoes that are perfect for my needs, but I needed sandals that would give me some arch support. Having tried on a few Chaco styles and a few Teva, they fit my needs best and are not ugly. I realized how comfortable they really are when I ran after the postman one day. Support and flexible outsole = love! I usually wear shoes in size 8.5 and prefer size 9 so that my foot is completely in the shoe. My feet are narrow and have a high arch, so sometimes the ankle strap needs to be adjusted up or down to ensure a comfortable fit.
