I bought this to cancel a complete custom installation I did to my truck in 2004 when I installed a Benz headlight harness to accommodate HID, like they had before butts. and play with the units they have now. Replacing my current setup was becoming increasingly difficult as I was out of OEM connectors. With the ever-increasing popularity of LEDs, I've decided to go back to stock to capitalize on LED bulbs. I bought this wire extension, cut the end of this connector off a car wire harness and soldered the extension and heat shrink tubing to seal. It was easy for me even though it was just plug and play. A thicker wire on the plug also gives me security.
