I have to agree with some others who have commented that newer flash drives are slower than older ones. I bought one of the 32GB B30s in April 2014. This drive still performs well with benchmarks of 210.0 MB/s (read) and 35.76 MB/s (write). Because of this performance, I recently bought a 64GB version of the same drive. However, the benchmarks for this new drive are: 116.5 MB/s (read); 33.6MB/s (write). Thus, the reading speed of the new disk is almost half the reading speed of the old disk. As a "real" test, I copied a 5.75 GB file to both drives. The old ride took 2:38, while the new ride was 8 seconds slower at 2:46. Interestingly, both old and new drives have the same model numbers, so there's nothing to indicate to the consumer that anything has changed. Time will tell if durability suffers. If so, I'll update my review. . I am changing my rating to 1 star.
