Review on Commercial FoodSaver Pack Vacuum Storage Solution by Michelle Taylor

I'm a curmudgeon (hence the reason I have the FoodSaver) and when I saw that these buns could save me money I jumped at it. It took several spoiled batches of groceries over the same weekend to see that they weren't sealed in the same way. (One side is perfectly smooth and I think it has something to do with that.) This can leave tiny bits that aren't fully fused in the seal that you can't see until you come back a few minutes or hours later. Because of this, I started paying attention and taking an extra full minute at the end of each seal/vacuum session to allow the heat to work. I just sealed a whole turkey that I baked over the weekend and had to go back and reseal each package even though it was kept in the light and looked completely sealed. A quick check after 30 minutes showed that each bag was not sealed tight and the hole was minor. If I hadn't caught it, it would have been $40 out the window. As much as I want to, I'm going back to FoodSaver bags. I never had a problem with it until I switched to these bags. At least through the rebate company I can get the percentage back and feel a little better spending a little more.
