It's pretty much a waste of money. Use the empty Windex bottle and get a cardboard cutter. The included "cutter" is not sharp enough to cut plastic cleanly. Leaves only a nick, or worse, a jagged edge.

The product leaves an unsightly mark between the applied vinyl and the window itself. Does not hold tape. Only this morning - a week of use - falls off (see photo).

Mortar has stained my wall below the window where I put the blackout film. I've tried several cleaners and nothing will make the blue streaks go away. The kit also came with no instructions or warnings that it could stain walls if left unchecked.

This kit was completely unnecessary when installing window film on my front door. The directions for the film said to use soapy water, which would work just as well as the bottle of liquid they sent. Other "tools" were plastic; A single-blade razor and a 6-inch ruler did the same thing.

I'm halfway through tinting two windows and have run out of swear words so thought it was time for a review. The applicator is good, the spray is good, the blade is terrible. No matter how carefully you apply the paint, the blade will stretch and pull the paint, leaving a jagged edge. Look online how to make a spray, grab a credit card to smooth it out, and dig up your sharpest Xacto blade. You'll be better off

Received only solution to apply window film Gila GTA002, 16 FL OZ with a lint-free cloth. I ordered the whole set so it should have come with a razor and squeegee. The instructions that came with the film said to use soapy water in a spray bottle and that works just as well. There is no real need for this. I bought this kit to fit a 12mil screen protector to 5 small side windows but found the blade to be unsuitable for the job. It could only cut a few small pieces of film before becoming dull. The grout and fabric were excellent and helped with the installation so it wasn't a waste of money. My advice. If you are trying to install anything thicker than 8 mil foil, do not purchase this blade kit. You will end up using a Stanley knife or scissors. But the decision and the material are worth it.

This would make a great gift if you really want to piss off a mate who wants to paint their house's windows. The supplied sharp-edged razor would be described as a "shredder". The film tears easily on its own if you try to peel the backing off of it, but trying to cut it with that "sharp edge" tears everything to shreds instead. Spray applicator Good lint-free fabric; however, a cutting tool is sufficient. After a single use, the tool becomes dull and the blade barely cuts the material. I had to resort to a gem cutter to finish the job which was very embarrassing. It would make a lot more sense if the manufacturer included a tool where the blade could be swapped out rather than the consumer buying a different tool.
