I injured my ankle and have to spend a couple of weeks with my leg stretched out. I use it on my knees in a chair with my legs folded. I use a small blanket folded multiple times to place on my hips. This allows me to work with a laptop. The reading light and fan are a nice touch, and I keep a pen in my desk drawer. The box is surprisingly strong. Didn't use the stand. I'm afraid of bringing coffee so close to the laptop.
