In short. This product is far superior to any pistol safe I have looked at anywhere. I love the ability to make things my way with the modular design. I bought the MXE and while plenty of room, it would have been nice to receive more than just one " block " to hold two pistols. I did read, and knew to order more foam inserts. Hint, you can buy one extra foam double pistol holder, and still easily fit two more guns comfortably without buying a third. In total I would have no issue finding room to store 8 pistols.The included instructions are easy enough for a child to understand, and are simple and to the point. The battery life is very good, and has a nice feature to check it's status. You just hold in the digits 6 & 8 simultaneously for the level of battery to be displayed. Charging is simplistic, but safe came 100% charged. Securing the safe was easy. Place it where you want, and remove the bottom left and right inserts. Mark the holes with a sharpie. I drilled pilot holes after moving the safe, and once in place, had to screw in by hand. I also did use the rear mounting holes with my own screws to further secure it. Programming is so easy, so no worries there. Conclusion: You can't go wrong with this safe. Tip. Register your safe by following the instructions for warranty and they even replace keys if you happen to lose one. 5 Stars from me!
