Review on 🎧 Rockville RHPA4 4 Channel Professional Headphone Amplifier - Black: Stereo/Mono Amp for Superior Audio Experience by Charles Baker

I like almost everything about this headphone amplifier. Since each input and output has 1/4" and 1/8" jacks, it becomes much easier for people to bring their own headphones or connect to different sources without worrying about the right adapters too have to. The killer feature of this amp for me is the mono/stereo switch. I often run a headphone monitor mix from a mono aux channel to my mixer and I like that I don't have to keep track of any special cables to make this work. . The price was very reasonable and it had a pretty beefy feel to it. It offers pretty decent gain even for large-driver headphones, although the top quarter of the volume range doesn't seem to add much. Laptop, in many cases this results in *a lot* of hiss and hiss in the headphone mix, especially when the laptop is also the audio source. I tried it first before using the included AC to USB adapter and I almost repackaged the thing and sent it back because the hiss was incredibly awful. But a little power isolation from the source via the AC to USB adapter solved that problem for me. If you're going to risk it, make sure you test it with source *before* it matters. ;)
