Good smell, you need two boxes.
Very black if you want that look. If you have shoulder length hair, or about 2 inches longer than your shoulder length hair, you will need two boxes. I didn't have enough for my head. The hair color smells like flowers and doesn't look like hair color at all, which surprised me a lot. Didn't know if developer had to be used for this hair dye or was it a hair stain like (manic panic)? Because the directions don't say how many ounces to use with the dye. yes, I thought. π
