🖤 Pravana Chromasilk Vivids - Black Unisex Hair Dye, 3 Fl Oz (Single Pack) Review

So one of those questions about the product is whether it is a direct dye. That line is there, but it's true, as someone said, black is just an accessory, so don't buy it while you're trying to dye your hair black! Just enough for the bleached ends of the hair.

Very black if you want that look. If you have shoulder length hair, or about 2 inches longer than your shoulder length hair, you will need two boxes. I didn't have enough for my head. The hair color smells like flowers and doesn't look like hair color at all, which surprised me a lot. Didn't know if developer had to be used for this hair dye or was it a hair stain like (manic panic)? Because the directions don't say how many ounces to use with the dye. yes, I thought. 🙃

I used to use this brand but I used purple and it worked great! However, it was in my hair at my roots that weren't colored for 40 minutes and it didn't do anything. All of this washed out of my hair but managed to stain my bath. I have naturally medium blonde hair and after washing out the color it is still medium blonde. So sad and disappointed.

Pravana Black Additive was just what I needed to finally get the shade of green I was looking for combined with Pravana Yellow and Sparks Nautical Navy. 10/10 is used again when the color I want to achieve is a darker shade than I can find.

THIS COLOR IS A SUPPLEMENT, it would be super nice if the seller would change the description to reflect this. However, it is a great complement to all Vivids colors. It looks very blue, but if you neutralize that by adding some orange/yellow, depending on your overall goal, you get a nice rich deep color that STAYS. remaining pink shade and is: 3 oz Vivids Red 1.5 oz Black Additive 1.5 oz Too Cute Coral 1.5 oz Yellow

This is just what I needed to get my Pravana Silver to stop stinging lavender and go more of a jet black, just how I wanted it. This is a very dark purple color in its own right and NOT just a black dye.

So many people have mentioned this in reviews but I'm here to chime in as the bad reviews for this product made me hesitate for months. This is a GREAT product that works exactly as intended, meaning it should be added to other Vivids colors to tone down/tonify their strength, NOT as a standalone black dye. (There are many other products that can be used as black dye, don't try to make something out of it that it isn't!) I'm still experimenting to get the right color combination, but I'm beyond
