This only works well for audio applications. Sound quality is pretty decent for the price, and it's nice to have good stereo separation with two separate speakers. I have a higher quality Bose Soundlink which offers better sound quality but sounds more monotonous because two channels come from the same device. Unfortunately, when it comes to gaming, there is a noticeable lag between what you see on screen and what you hear. In theory, 8bitdo could solve this problem by updating the firmware to support low-latency audio technology like aptX. Audio lag is an issue even when using both speakers with a direct wired connection to the Nintendo Switch. This is because you can only connect directly to one speaker, which wirelessly sends a different audio channel to the other speaker while keeping the stereo channels in sync. or you can use a 3.5mm Y-splitter to connect directly to both speakers without using WiFi.
