Review on πŸ“· Canon EF-S 18-135mm f/3.5-5.6 IS USM Lens (Black) - Enhanced Imaging Stabilization for Crisp Photos by Amphai Nanthaklang ᠌

A nice option for the money, one of the best deals.

Universal zoom for "cropped" Canon cameras. Used for reportage shooting of outdoor events and is excellent for this. If your camera ISO 3200 is more or less working, you can shoot indoors without a flash. Before that, I used the first version of 18-135 for two years, everything is fine, but the noisy autofocus motor was not suitable for shooting video. Here, focusing is fast and almost silent. In silence, a very, very quiet sound is heard, a click during tracking autofocus, but it is not heard in the video. You can connect an optional motorized zoom drive. The thread for filters is 67 mm, as in the first and second versions, but the hood mount is different, the old one did not fit.

Pros
  • Convenient range of focal lengths, good picture quality, quiet and fast focusing, relatively small size (shorter than the first version 18-135), good optical stabilizer, good workmanship and assembly, very nice soft focus ring travel in manual mode.
Cons
  • It’s a bit dark (but light zooms are generally rare, they cost different money and the range of focal lengths is small there), there is no moisture and dust protection (in any case, its presence is not declared, but I don’t want to check it myself).

Has some pros Clear focus. You can catch a mosquito in the background of a bush. Stabilization. Nice bokeh. Cons below: Lock does not click on my lens

A very decent budget lens. I have a Canod 60D. Professional quality for little money.
