This wiper arm is for the driver side of my truck. I have a 1993 GMC K1500 and the originals were pin style and I couldn't use the "profile" style wiper blades as they didn't fit the pins snugly. With this arm, which I ordered for a '97 GM pickup, I can now use profiled wiper blades. When purchasing an 88-94 Chevy or GMC truck, the replacement parts are pins. 95-00 is a catch. They are all splined for drive, so this lever will easily fit your 88-94 as well as Dorman 42579 passenger. This arm fits snugly into the wiper gear. I have no complaints after heavy use in a big snow storm with 50 mph winds. The wiper was stuck on the window!
