Change to rating below. To my pleasant and unbelievable surprise, I received the MOST PLEASANT message from Better Life Tech, who I purchased the heating pad from. They offered to send me another one for free (with just a medium setting) or offered a full refund, whichever I preferred. Such wonderful customer service! I'll keep the one I have - I'm used to it and it does a great job of keeping my coffee warm. Because it's a gravity heater (no on/off switch, the weight of the mug is used to start heating), you'll need to reset the heater temperature every time you pick up the mug and put it back. The default setting is the lowest temperature, then you can press the button to change the temperature to medium or high.
