Honest review: PlayStation 5

Everything is fine, not great. This review is only about graphite and maybe even carbon fiber leather as the matte finish on the back i got was really good, there were issues with the bezel, the first pic was the one i originally bought and noticed that there was a little bead on the paint, which I didn't notice on the matte finish of the back panel, which I bought separately to mount the mod. It was very noticeable and I could feel it too as it was more pronounced than it appears in the photo. I asked for a replacement, that's the second photo, but although he removed the dent where it was before, he added a new dent a little lower on the body that was less visible, so I took care of that. If both projectiles weren't damaged I would rate it higher! It's really nice and some people I've read have been frustrated with the touchpad, but it's actually not hard to replace, you have a hair dryer, you can rent one from Home Depot or just buy one, I have one before bought a few months ago. here for about $30. I heated the front of the touchpad by running the heat gun left and right across the pad until it was fairly hot but melted and removed the chip with a blade but they provided a pick to remove it. After removing it, I quickly taped it to the matte black touchpad and then warmed it up a bit on the front and it works great. However, it was very frustrating to break the controller that far, but if you follow the guides it becomes more tiring than anything. The second thing isn't a shell error, but I included it for reference. I had an old broken PS4 remote on which I decided to convert the buttons to dual purpose white buttons. Turns out the PS4 buttons have slightly different ends where the button snaps, they all have latches so I had to remove a latch from two buttons which I removed with a small pair of pliers where needed, to fit properly. The o button sticks out tall, as the o on the doublesense is actually curved to match the remote's dimensions. Although it's not a problem for me. A bigger issue was that the PS4 remote option and share button are attached to the motherboard while on the PS5 they are more your traditional buttons so I had to replace the buttons for the PS5 and wait for them to arrive, before I could finish this. I didn't want to use the white keys. After that, the rest was a breeze.
