Revain's website states that the product is made in the USA. Build dot com lists products as made in Germany. Neither is true, the product is made in China. Appearance: beautiful appearance and design. But the nickel is a little noticeably darker than the "American" brushed/polished nickel, so they don't quite match other plumbing fixtures. But this will work just fine. The bath pole is a bit flimsy with a handle as stated in another review. It flexes when you push it, causing the rod to flex and in turn move the mounting plates. Time will tell if the mounting plates will hold up. It does matter if you're mounting to a pole, but if you're mounting to drywall with the plastic anchors provided, it may loosen over time. Speaking of anchors, the instructions state that 6mm holes need to be drilled to attach the plastic anchor. For 15/64″ or 1/4″ that's too big a hole. Use a 7/32-inch bit instead or the plastic anchor won't cut into the drywall. So it's a little disappointing that the description is misleading as to the country of origin of the bathroom accessory.
