These are best for herbal and spice infusions (I use them for fennel seeds and dried ginger) rather than tea. The large mesh ball is much better for brewing tea. It has a small chamber size that makes it difficult for the tea leaves to unfold as it brews, resulting in a subpar cup of tea. But for herbs and spices, a small chamber works well. The main disadvantage is the very cheap build quality. I wasn't expecting a high end product for the price, but even for the low price the quality is below average. The hinges are very flimsy and the handle is held in place by a tiny spot weld. If the handle breaks (which will happen) the tea infuser is useless as the two parts are connected by a slot in the handle. No handle means the device cannot be closed. Taking all factors into account, I get an average rating (3 stars). It works well for herbal/spice infusions, but don't expect it to last very long even if you're careful with it.
