I was on a 2 week vacation recently and was in the planning stages looking for a backpack. I wanted something small, light, waterproof, multipurpose and anti-theft. All requirements were thus fully met. It's nylon material as stated in the description but it doesn't look cheap; It also doesn't look like a school backpack, which bothered me. Looks like handbag backpacks are the new fad. But the real beauty of this thing is the functionality. The inner compartment is deceptively large. I was able to fit everything I needed for hiking, shopping, and traveling in cold climates. There is a slightly hidden zip pocket on the front, perfect for a phone and wallet. And there are even side pockets for a water bottle (small!) and an umbrella. It held up very well and didn't hurt my shoulders at all after long days of walking. And it was perfect for an airplane too! Highly recommended.
