I bought these to connect my iPod and TV to my stereo receiver. They are easy to use. Simply plug one end into a 3.5mm headphone jack on any device and the other end into the red/white RCA connectors on the back of your receiver or TV. These cables are great for my purposes. My only complaint about the product is that the 3.5mm plug is not tight enough. If you move it too far, you'll lose contact and temporarily lose sound from one or both speakers. But if you just plug it in and leave it there, you don't have to worry. Please note that 12 feet isn't very much when trying to work around the walls of a medium sized bedroom. I needed an auxiliary cable and a 3.5mm jack to jack adapter to connect the TV to the receiver which is on opposite sides of the room. This is clearly not the product. You should keep this in mind when planning the various cables and lines in your system. Overall this is a great product for the price.
