Look, sub-$30 headphones don't achieve Bose-level sound quality BUT it might be the best option you have around to say the least. I've only had them for about a week so can't comment on how long they last in everyday use but will let you know if they fail this year. I put my headphones through very heavy use so I'll be impressed if they last a year. Either way, they're comfortable and sound great. Period. EDIT: After a few months of use, the downsides became pretty obvious. First, they are not that comfortable. The shape of the earbuds makes them uncomfortable and even hurts your ear if you accidentally fall asleep with them on. They also don't sit very well in the ear and, in my opinion, are a bit fiddly to adjust due to their shape. said. The control button on the microphone is also a bit awkward to use. The sound quality isn't bad but to be honest I regret the purchase as for the same price I could buy my regular Sony MDR-EX15AP headphones (they are much more comfortable and easier to use).
