My super shy, terrified tomcat Lorenzo hasn't been to the vet since he was a kitten 9 years ago. The reason being that I could never put him in a stroller and finally decided it wasn't worth the hassle for either of us. But last month he had an eye problem and I had to take him to the vet. I made two applications and then canceled because couldn't get it into a hard plastic container with metal gates. Oh the stress! I finally ordered this case and loaded it the first time. Today was our third visit to the vet in a month and every time I put him in the carrier on the first try. What worked for my little kitty is the top loading option. I put the suitcase on the counter, slammed it down and hastily closed it. On the last 2 visits the vet didn't even have to take him out of his stretcher. I opened the top and one side and he was able to complete the eye exam while the cat stayed in place. My only goal in this case was to get my cat infected so I could take her to the vet and everything went smoothly. What a relief!
