When I first opened it up and tried it on I thought it was completely hopeless! It has built in "cups" that are very stiff. Problem? The cups don't look like my boobs at all! They don't even remotely resemble the shape of my breasts. Too big from top to bottom but too narrow on the sides (I'm 36G and ordered XXL). It looked completely ridiculous. I tried just wearing it under a rashguard, but the seams on the cups are so thick that the odd shape shows through the shirt. In the end I cut out the cups completely. There are no other linings, just a black layer and cups, so I was afraid they would be too thin. Surprisingly, it actually worked. With no cups, it is very comfortable and supportive and looks good. I've worn it all day to a pool party, pool and hot tub and have never had to adjust any part of it and it hasn't dug in anywhere or left a stretchy residue. Funny story. Earlier in the day I put an ice pack on the back of this bra because I was so hot in the 97 degree weather. I completely forgot. This swim bra held in place so well that the ice pack was there the entire time I was swimming and I didn't even notice! I'm giving 3 stars because I highly recommend this item if you're willing to face scissors.
