We made a Mod 7.3 fan clutch on our 04 6.0 Powerstroke with this block. I can't believe how much better this fan clutch performs than the Visctronic clutch that comes from the factory. We're in Florida hauling 12,000 pounds in 95 degree heat and very high humidity. This fan clutch lowered both ECT and EOT by over 10 degrees. It also helps the air conditioning run a little better as more air is sent through the condenser when it does. I no longer notice fan noise and consumption losses. I notice that it kicks in more often than the Visctronic fan clutch, but keeps the temp down more consistently instead of the ECT/EOT pacing up and down like it used to. To be honest we switched to a Dieselsite water pump at the same time. It's also significantly more efficient and likely contributes to cooler temperatures as well. Whether you upgrade your water pump or not, I would recommend this fan clutch for the 6.0 Powerstroke.
