Review on Heritage Hill Glass Cookie/Candy Jar: ๐Ÿช A Classic 1/2 Gallon Anchor Hocking Treasure by Kimberly Choi

It's great for storing cat crispbread baskets in it

I love cans, all kinds of cans, something I no doubt inherited from my mother. Also, from a practical point of view, I seem to have a corn moth problem that is driving me nuts. Cats love to chase moths, but what they don't know is that moths fool around and lay eggs in their cookies (if left in a bag, they'll go in). So I bought a couple of these jars for cat biscuits and other things and they work great! Several people have criticized the lid for not having a silicone ring around it to make the seal airtight and prevent chipping. and I have to agree - a tighter fit would be nice. But let's be honest, the moths don't get into the jar because the weight of the jar lid ensures a good seal - the lid just floats a little. Some people say they find broken glass in the jar (from the lid), but I just don't see it until you (or your CHILDREN) slam the lid shut. Just treat it like glass and it works great and is very durable. These are very attractive glasses and they look beautiful on the kitchen table. My mom used to make little artificial terrariums in jars like this out of craft store stuff. Until I did :)
