Review on Comfortable Ergonomic Mouse Pad With Wrist Support For Efficient Computer Use by Jimmie Trotto

Revainrating 4 out of 5

Black pad can fail with some optical mouses

I originally rated the BLACK mouse pad 2, since it was well made, comfortable, and had a nice table-grippy bottom, BUT it failed to work with my new HP Wireless Premium Optical Mouse (p/n 1JR31UT#ABA).MROCO immediately contacted me, and they shipped me a BLUE mouse pad so I could try some experiments. With an OLD HP optical mouse that uses a VISIBLE RED LED in the sensor mechanisms, both the BLUE and BLACK mouse pads worked. With my NEW HP optical mouse that uses an INVISIBLE LED in the sensor mechanism, the BLUE mouse pad worked but the BLACK mouse pad failed. Several review sites have suggested some optical mouse failed to work on black glossy surfaces, and my experiment aligns with that. There are certainly reviews here and across other brands where people are encountering failures. To help others, including MROCO, it would be great it people encountering failures could describe what color pad they bought, and what brand or make or LED-color of mouse the pad failed with.

Pros
  • Very happy with this purchase, described perfectly in the description and is exactly what I was seeking
Cons
  • May not provide enough grip for those with hand injuries
