Although we had a very nice hand painted fruit bowl from a large set we bought 4 years ago my wife wanted something lighter and two tiers. Since I had a gift certificate, money wasn't an issue here, so she went with that one. I think we would have bought it anyway if we hadn't had that certificate. We love it. The wire is coated and looks very smooth, good thickness but not heavy. If you're looking for something similar, get this one and don't worry about the price. Once you receive it, you will love it. Other baskets look too light and flimsy, and it seems that they eventually fall over or collapse. It also has a detachable top basket for more fruit at parties and the bananas are still hanging on the hook, and a small basket can be purchased for the table, which is convenient when guests arrive. A little more comfort.
